I was reading a clients feedback this morning and it struck me once again how powerful our minds are. We can create anything we want, in fact our whole life has been created entirely by us. How we interact, how we react, how we see things, how we do things. It is all controlled by what we think. I know this may sound a little woo-woo, but we really do create our reality.
Think about it…..
Why do some people go through the day in a positive frame of mind and the person sitting next to them is negative? Why do some people eat healthy food, and the person next to them eats junk food? If you are occupying the same space as someone then surely you should be doing and seeing the same things? But you don’t and it’s all to do with what you are saying to yourself.
Stop and think about it……
Do you say “I can’t do this” or “I don’t have time” or “Someone like me can’t have that” or “I’m just a loser” or “I don’t sleep well” or “I have a demanding job” or “I have x wrong with me” (you get the picture, I’m sure).
Or do you say “I can do this” “I make time for myself” “Anyone can be successful” “I always win” “I am a deep sleeper” “My job has challenges, and I can cope” “Let me see how I can improve my health” (etc.)
What you tell yourself, you will believe. What you think about yourself, you have created from when you were much younger. The repeated stories that you believed made you who you are. You didn’t arrive as a baby behaving and looking the way you do today, you became who you are through how you decided to interpret your experiences. So, it stands to reason that you can become who you really want to, simply by changing your thinking about yourself and who you believe you are in this moment.
What stories are you telling yourself?
