I am 52 and things are not the same physically for me anymore. I have noticed changes, body fat appearing where it wasn't before, energy levels are different, menopause setting in. On top of that, the methods I was using to keep everything in check seemed to stop working almost overnight! So I have had to look at alternatives to help me stay fit and active.
The most important one for me is nutrition, as without proper nutrition, nothing else will work properly. If you are eating too much, or too little, or eating the wrong foods, or at the wrong time, things can go haywire really fast. But we are all different, so we need an individual approach. On top of all that, we have inherent beliefs about our nutrition, whether from childhood, or the media, or from all the different ideas that are floating around now and confusing everybody. It's hard to stay calm in all the noise! Even for me - I am only human :) So I have taken on a coach, to help me navigate my way through my eating beliefs and unconscious decisions. I am loving the experience and finding it very insightful. I will continue to share my journey as I go. |
